Should I be exercising on the detox program?

Light exercise is recommended during the detox to enhance the effects of the program, without putting additional strain on the body. It is recommended that you go for a brisk 30 minute walk per day, and do some light stretching. It is important not to overdo it, as the prime focus of your body should be on enhancing detoxification pathways and healing the body. Excessive exercise will result in the need for muscle recovery, which will take the bodies focus away from detoxification.

Walking and stretching will be very beneficial for you during the program to help improve circulation, stimulate sweating, enhance lymphatic flow and encouraging bowel movements. As an added bonus, exercising outside in the sun will increase your vitamin D levels, to strengthen your immune system.
