Maintenance Plan

Trio Clean and Lean Maintenance Eating Plan

Start to reintroduce the following foods

Now that you are feeling cleansed and revitalised, it is time to gradually reintroduce a greater variety of foods, whilst maintaining the benefits that you have obtained by following my program. You can continue to include the foods that you were eating whilst following the detox program and start to reintroduce the following foods;

  • All vegetables
  • All fresh fruits
  • Whole grains – Choose gluten free grains such as buckwheat, quinoa, brown rice, black rice, wild rice, millet, amaranth, teff and buckwheat
  • Grass fed red meats, such as lamb and beef
  • Australian seafood, tuna, Alaskan salmon and wild barramundi. Oily fish such as sardines, trout, mackerel and halibut
  • Organic free range chicken, duck and turkey
  • Greek yoghurt and white cheeses
  • Free range eggs
  • Lentils and legumes
  • Raw nuts, activated nuts and seeds
  • Cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, flaxseed oil, hemp seed oil and avocado oil
  • Fresh and dried herbs and spices such as garlic, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, mint, coriander, rosemary, oregano, thyme and cumin
  • Organic apple cider vinegar
  • Hummus and tahini
  • Filtered water – Aim for 2 litres of filtered water per day and store this in metal or glass containers, not plastic bottles
  • Fresh raw vegetable and fruit juices
  • Green tea, black tea and herbal teas
  • Coffee (except instant coffee) – no more than 3 cups daily

Avoid or minimise the following foods

  • Sugar
  • Trans-fats – these are found in commercially baked goods, fast foods, deep fried foods, margarine, some butters that are blended with oil and vegetable oils
  • Excessive coffee and caffeinated drinks
  • Soft drink and diet soft drink
  • Cordial and pre-packaged fruit juices made from concentrates
  • Artificial food additives such as aspartame and MSG
  • Many people benefit from a diet free of gluten containing grains. Gluten is found in wheat, rye, barley and also found in oats that are not labelled as gluten free, as cross contamination from other crops is common, unless they are grown and harvested in a particular way
  • Peanuts and peanut butter
  • Processed and preserved meats such as ham, bacon, salami, prosciutto, devon etc. It is also best to avoid smoked meats and smoked fish
  • Red meat from animals which have been fed grains such as corn and soy. Grass fed meat is a much healthier option
  • Fish from fish farms, such as basa and salmon. Choose fresh wild ocean caught fish
